AAUP reorganizes, divides into three distinct units

The American Association of University Professors has approved a reorganization that will split the group into three interlocking entities. Members of the $5.7 million revenue group voted at its annual meeting June 12-14 to amend its constitution and bylaws to open the way for creation of a union and foundation. AAUP’s core as a professional membership group comprised of 45,000 faculty in higher education will continue.
